THE STORY

The desire to express one's emotions through music. The desire to tell their stories and leave a mark. And above all, the desire to be together and have fun. Aurela Cörta was born from the meeting of three young people from Val Badia: Matthias, Max and Ermes. An innovative band, thanks to the combination of percussion and bass with the special melodies of the accordion. With a repertoire ranging from rock to pop, passing through the notes of Herbert Pixner to the original rhythm of their own compositions in Ladin, it is the right musical accompaniment for a wide variety of occasions.

MATTHIAS

I am Matthias Pizzinini although everyone calls me Gotti. I was born on 11/09/1990 and live in San Cassiano. By profession I am a butcher and sometimes also a cook. I was born and raised in a particularly musical family and already at a young age I started playing the accordion, later switching to the tenor which I played for 15 years in the San Cassiano music band. I learned to play the guitar as a self-taught musician at the age of 19. Making music is my greatest passion. With our group 'Aurela Cörta', a dream has come true for me: having someone with whom I can share the same interests! My goal is to pass on our melodies and leave a mark!

ACCORDION

ERMES

My name is Ermes, I was born 22.06.1999. I started playing the accordion at the age of 6. I was able to learn to play this instrument in the music school in La Villa with the masters Paul Schuen and Eduart Huber. They led me to my first experiences with accordion competitions. The competitions have always been a great motivation for me to put a lot of effort into learning to play the instrument and to devote a lot of free time to music. I achieved my biggest goal in 2018 when I won the world championship in the 'senior diatonic accordion' category in San Giovanni Rotondo in Apulia. In addition to music, in 2022 I got my degree in architecture and being an architect is my job at the moment. Playing together with the guys from "Aurela Cörta" showed me a new side of the accordion. It is now more about listening and keeping the rhythm together with others. As a band we are able to offer fuller, richer music. Playing together, in company, gives me absolute satisfaction

MAX

Oi, I am Max Clara, born in Brunico on 13.06.1995. I am a very sunny person. Playing the drums is the best therapy for me, when I am not so well and situations get difficult. I learned to play during my first years at school and it still gives me great satisfaction and happiness. When we play in the group I have even more fun. In that moments I feel like I'm ready to do anything. I really enjoy being part of the band. Music for me means being in the now, where I feel really good. That way I can let go of a lot of negative thoughts. Also, keeping the beat for me means everything. With a bit of rhythm I feel that everything sounds even better. I always love playing in company and learning new things
